{Suresh 585} अतिथि भगवान का रूप होता है। (Atithi bhawaan ka roop hota hai. )The guest is like  the God कहानी  -kahaanee= story

रेगिस्तान ( desert) को पार करते हुए दो यात्रियों ( travellers) ने एक खानाबदोश बेदुइन की झोपड़ी ( hut) को देखा और ठहरने की इजाजत ( permission) माँगी। (Registaan ko paar kartey huey do yaatrion ney ek khaanabadosh beduin kee jhopadee ko dekhaa aur thaharney ki izaazat maangee.) After crossing the desert, two travellers saw the hut of nomadic   Beduin and sought the permission  to stay.

जैसे सभी बंजारा ( nomadic ) जातियाँ  ( tribes) करती हैं, बेदुइन ने बहुत हर्षोल्लास ( joy) से उनका स्वागत किया |

(Jaisey sabhee banzaaraa jaatiyaan kartee hain, Beduin ney bahut harshullas se unkaa swaagar kiya.)

Like all the nomatic tribes do, Beduin greeted them with great  joy/enthusiasm.

बेदुइन उस वक्त ( time)  घर पर नहीं था , उसकी पत्नी ने उन्हें बेहतरीन भोजन परोसा।

(Beduin us vakt ghar par naheen tha, uskee patnee ney  unhein ek behtareenbhojan parosaa.

Beduin was not at home at that time.,she served them an excellent meal.|)

इसलिए ( therefore)  उन्होंने उसकी पत्नी  ( wife) को सौ दीनार दिए और अगले सुबह चलने के लिए इजाजत  ( permission) माँगी ( sought) ।

(Isliye unhoney uskee patnee ko sau deenaar diye aur agley subah chalney ke liye izaazat maangee.)

Therefore, they gave one hundred dennars to his wife and sought permission to proceed. on next morning.

उन्होंने कहा कि ज्यादा देर करने पर सूरज चढ़ जाएगा और उन्हें यात्रा करने में असुविधा  ( inconvenience) होगी।

(Unheoney kahaa ki zyaadaa dery karney par sooraj chadh gaayegaa aur unhein yaatra karney mein asuvidhaa hogee.)

They said if further delayed, it will be noon ( sun will be on head) and they will have inconvenience to travel.

वे लगभग चार घंटे तक रेगिस्तान में चलते रहे।

(Vey lagbhag chaar ghantey tak registaan mein chaltey rahey .)

They continued walking  for almost four hours in the desert.

उन्होंने पीछे से किसी को पुकारते ( calling) सुना (heard) ।

(Unheon peechhey se kisee ko pukaartey sunaa.)

They heard someone calling out from  the back/behind.

उन्होंने पीछे ( behind) मुड़कर ( turned) देखा, बेदुइन आ रहा था।

(Unheon peechhey mudkar dekhaa, Beduin aa rahaa tha.)

They saw turning behind, Beduin was coming.

पास ( near) आने पर बेदुइन ने दीनारों की पोटली ( packet) रेत  ( sand) पर फेंक दी।

(Paas aaney par Beduin ney deenaron kee potlee ret par fenk dee.)

After reaching close/nearby, Beduin threw the packet of dennars on  sand.

बेदुइन ने कहा- ‘क्या तुम लोगों को यह सोचकर शर्म नहीं आती कि मैंने कितनी खुशी से तुम दोनों का

अपनी झोपड़ी में स्वागत किया था |

(Beduin ney kaha – Kya tum logon ko yah sochkar sharm naheen aatee ki mainey kitnee

khushee se tum donon kaa apnee jhopadee mein swaagat kiyaa tha.)

Beduin said – ” You don’t feel ahamed thinking this that  with how much happiness

I had welcomed you both in my  hut. यात्री आश्चर्यचकित (surprised)  थे।

(Yaatree aascharyachakit they.)

The tavellers were surprised.

उनमें से एक ने कहा- ‘हमें जितना ठीक लगा उतना हमने दे दिया।

(Unmein se ek ney kahaa- Hamein jitnaa theek lagaa utnaa hameny dey diya.)

One out of them said – What we felt right, we gave that much.

इतने दीनारों में तो तुम तीन ऊँट खरीद सकते हो।

(Itney deenaron mein to tum teen oont khareed saktey ho.)

You can actually buy three camels  with these deenars.

मैं ऊँट और दीनारों की बात नहीं कर रहा हूँ|

(Main oont aur deenaron kee baat naheen kar rahee huun.)

I am not talking about the  camels and deenaars.

बेदुइन ने कहा, ‘यह रेगिस्तान हमारा सब कुछ है।

(Beduin ney kaha, yah registaan hamaaraa sab kuchh hai.)

Beduin said, this desert is everything for us.

यह हमें हर कहीं जाने देता है और हमसे बदले ( return) में कुछ नहीं माँगता।

(Yah hamein har kaheen jaaney detaa hai aur hamsey badley mein kuchh naheen maangtaa.)

This allows  us to go everywhere but does not ask for anything from us in return.

हमने अपने प्यारे रेगिस्तान ( desert) से यही सीखा  ( learned) है कि अतिथि भगवान का रूप ( form) होता है।

(Hamney apney pyaarey registaan sey yahee seekhaa hai ki atithi bhagwaan kaa roop hota hai.)

We have learned from our dear desert that the guest is the form of the God.

अतिथि की सेवा-सत्कार करना ही हमारा धर्म है। (Atithi kee seva-satkaar karnee hee hamaaraa dharm hai.)

It is our religion ( duty)  only to serve  the guest.

अतिथि से हम कुछ ले नहीं सकते और आप मुझे ये दीनार देकर जा रहे हैं।

( Atithi se ham kuchh ley naheen saktey aur aap mujhey ye deenaar dekar jaa rahey hain. )

We can’t take anything  from the guest and your  are going after giving me  these  deenars.

आपने मेरे आतिथ्य का अपमान किया है।

(Aapney merey aatithya kaa apmaan kiya hai.)

You have insulted my hospitality .

तभी दोनों यात्रियों ने बेदुइन को दिव्य ( divine) रूप के दर्शन कराए और कहा- ‘हम आपकी परीक्षा ले रहे थे।

(Tabhee donon yaatriyon ney Beduin ko divya roop key darshan karaaye aur

kahaa – Ham aapkee pareekshaa ley rahey they.)

Then both the travellers showed  Beduin their  divine form and said – we were taking  your test .
