उन्होंने एक हिरण से पूछा – ‘तुम इस उजड़े हुए वन में कैसे रहते हो और वह भी इतने प्रसन्न?
(Unhoney ek hiran se poochaa – Tum is ujadey huey van mein kaisey rahtey ho aur
vah bhee itney prasann?)
He asked a deer- How do you stay in this ruined forest and that too happily?
पास ही एक हरा-भरा वन है, तुम सब वहाँ क्यों नहीं चले जाते?’
(Paas hee ek har-bharaa van hai, tum sab vahaan kyon naheen chaley jaatey?0
There is a green forest nearby, why don’t you all go over there ?
हिरण ने कहा कि – ‘इसके दो कारण (reasons) हैं।
( Hiran ney kaha ki – iskey do kaaran hain.)
The dear said that – there are two reasons for this.
पहला कारण यह है कि हम उस वन में जा ही रहे थे कि अचानक ( suddenly) वन के राजा के मन में विचार ( thought) आया।
(Pahlaa kaaran yah hai ki ham us van mein jaa hee rahey they ki achanak
van key raaja key man mein vichaar aaya .)
First reason is this that as we were going to that forest, suddenly a
thought came in the mind of the king of the jungle.
उन्होंने कहा – ‘जब यह हरा-भरा था तब हम इसके साथ थे।
(Unheony kaha- jab yah hara-bharaa tha tab ham iseky saath they.)
He said – when this was green, we were with this.
किंतु अब यह विषम (odd) परिस्थिति में है, तो हम इसका साथ कैसे छोड़ सकते हैं।’
(Kintu ab yah visham paristhit mein hai, to ham iskaa saath kaise
chhod saktey hain.)
But now this is in odd/skewed) situation, then how can we leave it’s company.
दूसरा कारण यह है कि - अगर इस वन के पास यह हरा-भरा वन नहीं होता तो हम क्या करते?
(Doosraa kaaran yah hai ki- agar, is van key paas yah haraa-bharaa van nahee hotaa
to ham kartey?)
The other reason is this that – If this forest did not have a green forest adjacent,
then what we would have done?
यदि हमें प्रसन्न रहना है तो हमें अपनी आवश्यकताओं को कम करना होगा और
परिस्थितियों ( situation) के अनुसार अनुकूल ( congenial) होना होगा।
(yadi hamein prasann rahnaa hai to hamein apnee aavashyaktaaon ko kam karnaa hogaa
aur paristhitiyoon key aunsaar anukool hona hoga.)
If we have to remain happy, then we will have to reduce our needs and we will have
to remain congenial/compatible in accordance to the situation.
हमें समय के साथ चलना होगा। ( hamein samay ke saath chalnaa hogaa.)
We will have to go with the time.
समय न किसी के लिए रुका है, न रुकेगा। ( Samay na kisee ke liye rukaa hai, na rukegaa.)
The time has neither stopped for any one, nor will stop.
समय किसी की प्रतीक्षा नहीं करता। ( Samay kisee kee prateeksha naheen kartaa.)
The time doesn’t wait for anyone.
इसी प्रकार अगर परिस्थितियाँ हमारे अनुकूल ( congruent) नहीं हो सकतीं हमें ही परिस्थितियों के अनुसार ढलना ( mould) होगा।
(Isee prakaar parsthitiyaan hamaarey anukool naheen ho sakteen to hamein hee
paristhitiyon key anusaar dhalna hoga.)
Similarly, if the situations can not be congruent as per us, we only will have to fit/mould ourselves
in accordance with the situations.
यह प्रकृति का नियम है और हम प्रकृति के नियमों ( laws) का उल्लंघन ( violate) कैसे कर सकते हैं।’
(Yah prakruti kaa niyam hai aur ham prakruti ke niyamon ka ullanghan kaisey kar saktey hain.)
This is the law of nature and how can we violate the laws of nature.
हिरण ( deer) की बात सुनकर संत प्रसन्न होकर सोचने लगे कि जंगल के जानवरों में भी मानवता ( humanity) है।
(Hiran kee baat sunkar sant prasan hokar sochney lagey ki jangal key jaanvaron
mein bhee manvavta hai.)
Hearing the deer’s talk, the saint started thinking happily that there is a humanity in
the animals of the forest, too.
अब उन्हें जानवरों के प्रसन्न रहने का रहस्य ( secret) समझ में आ गया था।
(Ab unhein jaanvaron key prasann rahney ka rahsy samajh mein aa gaya tha.)
Now ,he had understood the secret of animal’s living in happiness .
