{Suresh 577} कहानी (kahaanee) :
हर चीज में भगवान हैं! (Har cheez mein bhagwaan hai. ) The God is there in everything.

वह शिष्य अपनी जगह से बिल्कुल भी नहीं हिला ( move) , बल्कि उसने अपने दूसरे साथियों से कहा कि हाथी में भी भगवान है
फिर तुम भाग क्यों रहे हो?
(Vah shishya apnee jagah se bilkul bhee naheen hila, balki usney apney doosrey saathiyon
sey kaha ki haathee mein bhee bhawaan hai fir tum bhaag kyon rahey ho?
That disciple did not move ( budge) an inch from his place, rather he told his other friends that
The God is there in elephant too, then why are you running?
महावत चिल्लाता रहा, पर वह शिष्य नहीं हटा और हाथी ने उसे धक्का देकर एक तरफ गिरा दिया और आगे निकल गया।
(Mahout chillaata raha, par vah shishya naheen hata aur haathee ney usey dhakka
dekhar ek taraf gira diya aur aagey nikal gaya.
Mahavout kept on shouting, but the disciple did not move and the elephant pushed him

one side and went ahead.
गिरने से शिष्य होश खो बैठा। (Girney se shishya hosh kho baitha.)
The disciple lost consciousness due to a fall.
कुछ देर बाद उसे होश आया तो उसने देखा कि आश्रम ( hermitage) में गुरुजी ( preceptor) और शिष्य ( disciple) उसे घेरकर खड़े हैं।
(Kuchh deyr baat usey hosh aaya to usney dekhaa ki aashram mein gurujee aur
shishya usey gherkar khadey hain.)
After some time, he became conscious , then he saw that the preceptor and the disciples
are standing surrounding him.
साथियों ने शिष्य से पूछा कि जब तुम देख रहे थे कि हाथी तुम्हारी तरफ दौड़ा चला आ रहा है तो तुम रास्ते से हटे ( move) क्यों नहीं?
(Saathiyon ney shishya se poochha ki jab tum dekh rahey they ki haathee tumhaaree taraf
dauda chalaa aa raha ha to tum raastey se hatey kyon naheen.?)
The friends asked the disciple that when you were seeing that the running elephant was coming
towards you, then why didn’t you move?
शिष्य ने कहा – जब गुरुजी ने कहा है कि हर चीज में ईश्वर है तो इसका मतलब ( means) है कि ईश्वर हाथी में भी है।
(Shishya ney kaha – jab gurujee ney kaha hai ki har cheez mein eeshwar hai to iskaa matlab hai ki
haathee mein bhee hai,)
The disciple said – when preceptor has said that the God is there in everything then it means that
the God is there in elephant too.
मैंने सोचा कि सामने से हाथी नहीं ईश्वर चले आ रहे हैं और यही सोचकर मैं अपनी जगह पर खड़ा ( stood) रहा,
पर ईश्वर ने मेरी कोई मदद नहीं की।
(Mainey sochaa ki saamney se haathee naheen eeshwar chaley aa rahey hain aur
yahee sochkar main apnee jagah par khadaa raha, par eeshwar ney meree koi madad nahee kee.
I though that the God is coming from the front and not the elephant and thinking this, I stood at
my place, but the God did not provide any help to me.
गुरुजी मुस्कुराए और बोले -बेटा, मैंने कहा था कि हर चीज में भगवान है।
(Gurujee muskuraaye aur bole- beta, mainey kaha tha ki har cheez mein bhagwaan hai.)
The preceptor smiled and said – son, I had told that the God is there in everything.
जब तुमने यह माना कि हाथी में भगवान है तो तुम्हें यह भी ध्यान रखना चाहिए था कि महावत में भी भगवान है
(Jab tumney yah maana ki haathee mein bhagwaan hai to tumhein yah bhee dhyaan
rakhnaa chahiye tha ki mahavout mein bhee bhagwaan hai.)
When you agreed that the God is there in the elephant , then you should have
paid attention that the God is there in Mahout too.
जब महावत चिल्लाकर तुम्हें सावधान ( alert) कर रहा था तो तुमने उसकी बात पर ध्यान ( attention) क्यों नहीं दिया?
(Jab Mahout chillakr tumehin saavdhaan kar rahaa tha to tumney uskee baat par
dhyaan kyon naheen diya?
When the mahout was alerting you loudly, then why didn’t you pay attention to
him.
शिष्य को उसके प्रश्न का जवाब मिल गया था। ( Shishya ko uskey prashn kaa jawaab mil gaya tha.)
The pupil had got the answer to his question.
